Alberta Creative Development Initiative

Aboriginal professional artists and arts organizations are invited to a "meet and greet" in Edmonton about Aboriginal Arts Grants at Canada Council & at Alberta Foundation for the Arts + the Alberta Creative Development Initiative!

After a short presentation, representatives from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts will be available to respond to your questions, and provide you with more details about the granting opportunities for Aboriginal artists and arts organizations, including the Alberta Creative Development Initiative (ACDI).

Come and share your artistic projects, and learn more about the available grants, with: Noël Habel, Program Officer at the Aboriginal Arts Office (Canada Council for the Arts) Marion Vitrac, Program Officer for the ACDI (Canada Council for the Arts) Al Chapman, Director of the Arts Development (Alberta Foundation for the Arts).

Started in 2007, the ACDI is a special funding program for professional artists and arts organizations of Alberta. It is a partnership between the Canada Council for the Arts and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA), in collaboration with Calgary Arts Development (CADA) and the Edmonton Arts Council (EAC). 2011 will be the last edition of this time-limited program. Coming deadline for Individual artists: November 1st.
