BOYGROOVE is a musical that explores the rise and fall of Canada's favorite boy-band "BoyGroove". The auditions, the rehearsing, the ego explosion that comes from fame and the eventual power hungry downward spiral. You know these boys, Jon the "bad boy" from Queens, Kevin the business motivated leader, Andrew the environmental activist, and the very Christian Lance always...on his knees - praying. These boys will leave you humming inappropriate tunes such as "You Make My Hips Buck" and the squeal inducing love ballad "Pushin' and Rockin'". Written by the critically acclaimed Edmonton playwright Chris Craddock and accompanied by music written by Aaron Macri, this fast paced, crude, and side-splitting look at the harsh realities of the music industry.
